Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City
Arrival in Mexico City. You will be welcomed by your professional naturalist tour guide. Transfer to “Majestic Hotel” where you´ll get a briefing. The guide will give you more information about the activities during your trips and the security. Not only that but you will already learn some fun facts about the Monarch Butterfly tour in Mexico.
Day 2: Anthropology Museum of Mexico
In the morning we will visit the Anthropology Museum, one of the best archaeological museums. The museum offers 23 exhibition halls with a huge collection of artifacts, and the most famous of which is the Aztec sun stone, a cosmological calendar.
Afterwards we will departure to Valle de Bravo. This magical town surrounded by mountains is considered important tourist destination. In Valle de Bravo for the comfort of the tourists there are excellent hotels, restaurants, equestrian club, beautiful golf courses and manmade lake. Overnight in “Mesón de las Leyendas” hotel.
Day 3: Piedra Herrada Sanctuary, Mexico
Visit the Piedra Herrada Sanctuary, the perfect spot to watch the monarch butterflies. There are two ways to get there by horseback riding or walking. It will take between 1-2 hours approximately to arrive and still have to hike for a while. Horses will take you there most of the way, to the spot where the monarch butterflies are located. This area is “wilder” than the other sanctuaries and often provides a more remote nature experience.

Day 4: Capulin Sanctuary, Mexico
Today we visit the Capulin Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to the largest and most beautiful prairie of the Monarch Butterfly region called Los Tres Gobernadores (The Three Governors). From there it is possible to watch an amazing transition of the vegetation, because it has access position and because of the hibernation colonies location. After that we will depart to Valle de Bravo. Overnight in “Mesón de las Leyendas” hotel.
Day 5: Valle de Bravo, Mexico
Free day to enjoy the area of Valle de Bravo. The water of the lake is ideal for sports like boating, sailing, water skiing or kayaking. You can also go hand gliding, cycle or choose any other activity you like to do. Overnight in ¨Mesón de las Leyendas¨ hotel.
Day 6: Mexico City
Take your time and relax in the morning. Later, we go back to Mexico City and check in at the Majestic hotel.
Day 7: Transfer to airport
The last day of the Monarch Butterfly tour in Mexico. Transfer to airport for your flight back.
